I worked for two years at the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED), a nonprofit organization that teaches teachers and students across the country about energy in all its forms&emdash;solar, wind, nuclear, and natural gas&emdash;and about the different chemical and physical elements associated with energy. This position was very science focused and built my understanding of designing for a specific audience. We created lessons for kindergarten to advanced high school students. At NEED I created a graphics library that teachers could use to print and distribute high-resolution versions of the figures that appear in their curriculum.
